                               1. - THE ELIÁN GONZÁLEZ CASE.

On April 28th of 2000, a group of Pedro Pan children marched downtown Miami in support of Elián González. Several bystanders cheered them upon recognition and some even joined the group briefly. It was to be a wasted effort, President Clinton and ex-Miamian Janet Reno had the child kidnapped and taken directly to Castro.
